FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER (LEO) OR DULY DEPUTIZED TASK FORCE OFFICER (TFO)

  • 24/7 Legal Consultation: Direct access to LARRY BERGER and GEORGIA DEPLAS, for broad based legal advice regarding your employment, whenever you need it, no matter the time or situation. This includes immediate, emergency communication for all critical incidents, including officer-involved shootings, arrests affected while performing official duties, and all other employment related matters. 

  • Representation: Legal representation for all LEO’s and duly deputized Task Force Officers (TFO’s) in ALL work-related incidents, including but not limited to the following:

    ✅ Internal investigations;

    ✅ All adverse personnel actions from counseling letter to dismissal and all appeals;

    ✅ Officer-involved lethal force, arrests while performing official duties, obtaining immunity from criminal prosecution and civil liability; 

    ✅ Misuse of government vehicle; 

    ✅ Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs claims, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission intake, advice, hearings & mediations, OPM Disability applications;

    ✅ Civil rights matters and congressional investigations;

    ✅ Whistleblower claims;

    ✅ Retirement, post-retirement employment issues, issues and/or incidents relative to the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA);

    ✅ Public Safety Officers’ Benefits Program (PSOB) representation;

    ✅ Representation of Responsible Management Officials (“RMO’s”);

    ✅ Security clearance revocations and suspensions;

    ✅ MSPB appeals included, subject to discretion and mutual evaluation of the merits (no up-front retainer);

    ✅ Off duty matters affecting employment on a case by case basis;

    ✅ Representation on witness depositions during civil litigation within scope of duty;
